It used to be a better place... but the staff is still very good.

From some of the other reviews it would seem that there are bunch of love sick deranged loonies here. But that's not true. There are a lot of good people that live here. There are lots of families too but I mean that in a good sense! Maybe because I don't have one living OVER me though(lol). I have a cute apartment and I love my location. Yeah you hear the train sometimes at night but it's not all that bad. I can still study at any hour. To clarify my summary statement, I've been at the place for a while and I've lived through the closing of Albertson's, the drycleaners, the English pastry place and other little shops that were so nice and convenient. They moved away because of the Albertson's store closure. All we have left is the Fandango's Pizza and a Mandarin Chinese food place. You can only take so much Chinese food and Pizza.
The staff is if not anything else, consistent. If they didn't get something right the first time, they will get it right the second or third. But at least they get it right. I wasn't here when any other manager was here but I have heard that this manager is the best that they've had so far. I don't know him that well but I've never had a problem with him. And yeah... I'd hit it(lol)!
The grounds are usually nice but in the winter months it can look ratty from all the wind blown leaves and flower pedals. In the Summer it is very nice and relaxed. This year, they turned off the heater in the pool (last month) and it is Frrrrrreezing! I guess it's another cost cutting measure. I got a rent increase to but I don't mind as long as they don't jack me up again anytime soon. For the most part, everything here is wonderful... but I have to agree that parking is just out of this world! They try and try to keep it organised but according to them people are just parking where ever they want sometimes and Palo Alto has a new law where they can't just tow a car. So yeah, I give parking a thumbs down. But there really isn't anything they can do unless they build a parking garage to hold more cars.
The apartment inside is nice at best. Nothing spectacular but nice! Some of the newer ones have new kitchens but I'd have to transfer, which I will not do.
If you want a place to live where your worries are minimal, this a great place. It's not spectacular as I said before, but it's a place where you can just chill out and not have people breathing down your neck all the time.
