unfairly treatment of security deposit

My wife and myself rented a unit for Vista Village for 6 Months after 6 Mos. it became Month to Month. We paid our Security Deposit. Paid all of our rent until we were ready to move back home. We gave our 30 notice and on the last day
we cleaned up the unit and some that was not required. John Coffamn one of the Resident Managers came down to the unit to inspect the unit. He said to me that we kept the unit in very good conition. While I was gone to take care of some other busiess he told my wife that the Company would not give all of our deposit back that they would hold out $60.00 to clean the carpet.

When we signed the agreement this was not part of the agreement. If they had told us we would not have rented the unit. It was only told us 2 hours before we left.
I am 66 years old. In all of my life I have never seen this without be told of the
charge.

We are very unhappy about our treatment as Vista Village.
