They are hot and worn down, but staff is nice

After my awful experience at Tamarack Gardens in Brea, this place seemed like heaven. The units are essentially not air conditioned. The unit I was in (a small one bedroom) included a very weak window airconditioner that only managed to cool the space three feet around it. Also, the repair staff, although friendly and helpful, do not seem to have good skills. Caulking, painting, and flooring is all done very sloppily. And the fixtures are all very old and worn. BUT, the office manager was very nice and helpful, and seemed to genuinely want the tenents to be comfortable and happy. That was a breath of fresh air after living in the Brea hell hole. By comparision, the Terrace appartment was far less luxurious, but boy did I learn first-hand why nice people are more important than luxury! I was much happier at the worn down, hot but personable Terrace appartment. Also, the enclosed courtyard that the units have is a lot of fun.
