I've read all the reviews (mostly negative) about this place. I didn't have a few questions though, coming from actual renters, are the break ins and vandalization still occurring' My biggest worry is that something will happen to my car, which is extrememly important to me. Also, I read about this "Section 8" Building, can someone please tell me exactly which building that is' If I do end up signing the lease, I want to make sure they don't stick me there. Thanks in advance!

The whole place is "Section 8". In fact, they give them the top floor which is the most expensive floor and YOU pay a huge amount to live there and THEY pay probably 1/8th of that. Haven't you read enough about the break ins and robberies? How many more times do you have to hear it to believe it? Packs of minority teenagers walking aimlessly around the underground parking lot = up to no good. Do you really need to be told this? Go rent there! Have fun while it lasts! You can only read so many reviews before it clicks and you use your brain to make the right decision.

Go to the LAPD on centinella and culver. Ask for the name of the lead detective in that area. They would be able to give you an idea of the amount of crime there.

For the person who posted who lives there-which building do you live in? are there buildings that are quieter than others?

Lol....Its nice to see you know you alphabets, but neither apply to me. I would like to know how someone can be on section 8 and own a bmw and pay $1500 rent... hmmmmm? Im just speaking from my personal experience, I have not had any problems here.

I wouldn't trust jtyl. He/she is a serial apoligist poster for Fountain Park. Anybody that loyal to a rental unit is probably either a) a section 8 resident, or b) works for Fountain Park. I lived there for 2 years (it was the only place my wife and I could find that takes dogs. Draw your own conclusions on what that says). It was a nightmare. A 'hood by the sea that you pay top dollar to subsidize the rents of people who shouldn't even be living there. And then they turn around and steal from you. Nice gratitude. Stay away is my advice. All the horror stories you read about are true. I was hoping the Chosen One would have changed a lot of the attitudes, porr life choices, and bad behavior, but is has not been the case. If fact these three categories seem to be getting worse in the black communites of LA. Too bad. Section 8, set asides, affirmitive action, grants, special selection criteria for college, inflated scores, fake college majors with little academic value, government entitilements, etc. haven't helped them, but just turned them into wards of the state. The 50 year war on poverty is over. Poverty won.

I've lived in the A building for 9 months now...painful as the truth might be many of the complaints are legitimate (minus the racially motivated garbage).. certainly not what you'd expect when you're paying 2k for a 1 bedroom apt. Other than watching cops excort people into the elevator and many more awkward encounters, about a month ago I walked out to my car in the morning and saw a nice new black truck parked next to me with it's window smashed in and the stereo ripped out..this was in the "secured" G1 underground parking..so if you're worried about your car then be forewarned..yes for those who say it does happen everywhere this is true but we're talking probabilities here..no I don't feel safe walking around the building late night although the Playa Vista community on the other side of Jefferson is awesome..So see if you can find an apt there..did I mention the elevators S-U-C-K so if you're planning a move-in..good luck...I can't wait to move out

Yes my girlfriends mirror got snatched from her Lexus as recently as 3 months ago and we had an attempted break in last week. We're moving out.
