I've been here for almost a year and noticed many positive changes. Building is well kept, clean and quite. My apartment was completely remodeled, I love it! Now they are painting everything outside and it looks very refreshing. Kids are playing outside on green, fresh lawn instead of concrete, like other places we visited.
Good location for students. So far, I have nothing to complaint about. Manager is always responsive, helpful and nice guy to have conversation with.

Obviously a fraudulent posting by the owner or someone paid by them. The manager is an alcoholic who starts fights with the residents when he is here at all. The building is not quiet, with constant yelling, swearing, fights, dogs barking and car alarms set off by tweakers. The police are here on a regular basis. The "green, fresh lawn" is covered with yellowed urine spots and dog feces and the whole courtyard smells of cat urine and marijuana. The 'cosmetic' improvements are being paid for by the long term tenants who are paying hundreds more for non-remodeled units while new tenants are getting rent breaks, deposit waivers and now thousand dollar grocery gift cards, all at previous and current tenant's expense, not the owners. They will bend over backwards to get you in, then leave you high and dry as soon as you need anything. BEWARE!!!

"Building is well kept, clean and quiet" - No. There is constantly garbage everywhere.. Including frequent heaps of remodeling trash left in the parking lot for weeks on end by the apartment owners themselves. There is constantly loud music, people yelling, kids making racket in the courtyard, and tons of noise from busy Contra Costa blvd that the apartment is on. Yes, noise from the street is out of the apartment owner's control, however there are units (including my own) that have single pane plexiglass windows that are not even properly sealed into the metal windowframe. Not very good sound insulation. The building is not well-kept; it is falling apart. Expect to have your water shut off about once a month, as it has been consistently for the last year and a half at least. In the event that you need something fixed (which you will), expect to have your request ignored altogether, or at best the repairs will be poorly done, not on time, by the apartment's 'handyman'. "My apartment was completely remodeled, I love it! Now they are painting everything outside and it looks very refreshing." - The bare minimum cosmetic improvements needed to get people to move into this dump. "Kids are playing outside on green, fresh lawn" - Huh? I guess you mean that scraggly 20x20 patch of grass in the courtyard? "Good location for students." Yes, there are a lot of young people here. With all their typical associated problems. "Manager is always responsive, helpful and nice guy to have conversation with." - Manager will take care of your problem when he gets around to it. Usually when I approach him in person to ask what he's doing about something I asked about several days ago, he replies something like 'Oh! I was just now taking care of that!" BULLLLLLS--T

Nothing has changed since I lived there in 2000. Mold problems, laundry problems, etc I sure don't miss it. I now pay the same amt for luxury living and we love it.
