A good place to live

I have lived at Villa Montanaro for just over a year, and I have to say that my experience has been a positive one. With respect to the staff, they have always been friendly and very helpful. The weight room is small, but I knew this from the tour before I signed my lease. Even so, the equipment is quality, and the room is rarely used. The noise may be an issue for some, the building is pretty close to 680, so with my windows open I can hear road traffic. Again though, I knew this before signing my lease. I live on the top floor so I can't comment on noise from above, however, my downstairs neighbor has said that it hasn't been an issue (and I'm pretty sure she's not deaf). I occasionally hear my next door neighbors, but not to the point of crazy annoyance. I was a little worried about the rent increase when my lease came up for renewal, but I was pleasantly surprised, it went up about 4.5%, which is what they told me it would do when I signed the first time. Overall, a great place to live, and I would definitely recommend it!

Just out of curiosity: Are you the owner of this place?

I call BS to the first review! My close friend has lived her over a year and this is not a precise review, nor truthful posting. Not only is she paying WAY too much for a tiny shoe box of a place, but they're being totally unfair about her lease. The 1 bdrm apartment below stayed vacant for over 4 months, then there was a "special" and the current tenant now pays $200 less than her and got one month free! She went to mgmt. to let them know her lease is coming up, she's paying WAY over market price (trust me on this one) and wanted to negotiate her lease - nothing! I've offered her my services to move her out of there ASAP. If you're even thinking about moving in to this Apt. complex - please read the other reviews and ask for the "specials" b/c not everyone gets them! And yes, the person who wrote about the contractual issues - the contract does change when pets and "fair housing" are added into contracts - every tenant should've signed a new lease considering their contract at the time of their lease is no longer valid when the terms and conditions change.

I wrote this review and I stand by it. No I'm not an owner. It's a shame that so many people have issues with Villa Montanaro, but my experience has been very positive. Like I said in the review, I don't have a problem with the building, staff or my lease terms. I wanted an apartment in a new building, not in one that was built in the 70's then renovated to remove the shag carpeting and avacado-colored appliances. My monthly rent is also similar to what is charged at other new apartment buildings in the area.

I can not believe the type of folks that are moving in recently...I saw two idiot frat types in the hot tub with bottles of beer all around the pool area at about 2330 hrs...gee all that glass must be so safe and wow way to break the rules and make a shitload of noise on top of it.
You two douchebags should be evicted soon, after you fail to pay your rent...
