Variations in renting

We lived here for 2 1/2 years. During that time the maintenance was great, however the rates changed faster than the stock market. This change included the admin staff during certain periods.
The apartments are advertised as luxury....I've worked in the building industry for many years and the quality of the materials are basic spec builder with time worn outdated materials.
The overall grounds are great, however, most apartments overlook a parking lot or street.
When the occupancy was down, new tenants were offered excellent rates, but this was not the case for established renters.
After the third rent increase we moved and found a great apartment with an excellent long term manager.

Happy to say I won't be lasting past my first year once my lease is up. I've noticed a lot of cars with out-of-state plates, people who probably rented first without even seeing their apartment. Unfortunately I can't use that as an excuse, I lived locally and still ended up here. In my own defense, I didn't actually get to see *MY* unit until move-in day and have had maintenance out to fix things way too often (A/C has been worked on but not replaced 3 times so far, once for the dishwasher and once for the washing machine) plus other times to fix non-electrical problems.
