I currently rent a one bedroom, and the increase in rent is causing me to move. Management seems unwilling to compromise and it seems to be taking its toll. New tennents above me are loud and it seems several people are living up there. Although pet owners do not clean up after their pets...for two years it is an ongoing problem, pets are still allowed. There are many advantages to live here...there are more to leave here.

If management consistently made compromises, how would that be practicing ethical business practices? Archstone is a multi-billion dollar corporation for a reason. If you can't pay the price I'm sure there are other options you may consider.
