My husband and I moved to Pleasanton because of a job transfer and we were so excited about the change. The people in this town seem great. They are friendly, kind and helpful. The staff at Archstone Hacienda did not get the memo. When we were looking for a place to live, they were rude and unhelpful. They acted as if you were putting them out by asking questions and taking their time by wanting to see an apartment. My husband and I were not able to move until the first of the year and unfortunately that is a bad time apparently because there were no places available anywhere in town. We signed a lease for half way through December and paid extra to have a place to live. We are still paying for that mistake. We were told that we were not to put things in our name (utilities and such) until were actually moved in. WRONG!!! We are no being penalized for this incorrect info that the 'informative' front office gave us. There are also the hidden SET RATES for trash and sewer. These are and extra $52.00 on top of the already outrageous rent that they charge every month. When my husband and I asked about the utility bills, they told us that 'It is different for every resident. We can not give you that kind of information.' What a load of crap. dear, I totally understand what you feel. I was going through like yours. It's really really a bad bad apt service in Pleasanton. I would suggest you go to http://craigslist.org/ to find some house or apt . Good luck to you. don't feel bad, at least you are not moving in yet.^^--^^, otherwise there would be more worst...

I don't know about you but my base trash charge went UP $9.00 a month!!! So the base trash, water and sewer is about $63.00. And you know you can't let the office's rudness bother you, just remember you're paying a premium price to voice your oppinion. I pay them hard earned money just like you and sometimes they get really sick of my complaining but it's my privilege and I've come to believe the squeeky wheel gets the grease~ regards
