My husband and I looked at the place a year prior to moving here. We wanted to move to these apartments for several reasons, that looked nice, close to bart, and we were told that there was plenty of parking spaces-that was a lie. The apartment it self was nice and spacious but immediately started falling apart. Cabinet doors broke, the bathroom was put together cheaply; they haven't fixed a thing. The parking is what really erked us. we would have to rush home early to find a parking spot and other people would parking illegal so they would have a spot. Not to mention they are trying to raise the rent $250 dollars for a one bedroom.

One of my managers lives in this complex as well. She was complaining to me about the parking situation also. She had also mentioned that there had been a homeless person living in the garage on the Hacienda side and was urinating on the walls. The other thing that bothered me when I lived there was that because it is such a HUGE complex friends of neighbors would come and leave their cars on the weekends and parking would be such a hassle like you said. Before we moved out we finally called the corporate office and made a complaint. It wasn't something that we wanted to do but we had to call the corporate office to just have things repaired correctly and to let the office know that they had made the mistake on the lease agreement. My suggestion would be to CALL THE CORPORATE OFFICE. Maybe they'll get the clue that they need a strong team running that place. archstone.com. Youl can find the number there.

My apartment at Archstone Hacienda was robbed recently. I am on ground floor near bus stop and I have been concerned about this location from the beginning but since I have large dogs this was the only apt. available according to staff. No bars on windows and very accessible from street so sure enough while I was at work, the place was ramsacked and lots of computer equiptment stolen and lots of other valuable. The police took an hour to respond and apartment managemenet was less that helpful. I'm telling everyone to watch out and tighten up security one would think that Archstone would do the same to warn community members of crime in the comples,
