In Pleasanton, you won't find a better apartment complex for the size, amenities and apperance worth the bucks. Sure, it's a bit steep but where is rent cheap for a nice looking place in a nice location'
Parking: Thank god for assigned parking. You at least guarantee at least one spot. We didn't have problems with finding second spot but it can get packed on weekends when everyone's home.
Floorplan: it's such a great layout, very open and spacious. Even the one bedroom apartment feels spacious. The patio is roomy and can fit in a quite lot. It's not entirely white which makes it more cozy. and u wont find roomier, bigger apartments in pleasanton!!!!
Kitchen: the appliances are working good. gas-stove which is a rarity these days with the fire hazards so it's a treat! dishwashers aren't the best, but we'r trying to be more eco-friendly and hand wash.
Bedroom: the layout is simply and a good size. the closets are a great size, especially in the one bedroom apartment. it's bigger than harry potter's bedroom! :) my husband and i can fit our stuff comfortably. and trust me, i have the massive clothes/shoes collection.
Bathroom: the tub is roomy! we had some mold growing but the maintenance team was able to clean it up and re-chalk. we wish there was a bit more storage for linen but our laundry room which is next to the bathroom is quite roomy and we have installed shelving unit to help us gain more room to stock up towels/etc.
Service: overall, it's not too shabby. they are responsive and usually willing to make corrections if necessary. we originally lived in one bedroom and upgraded to two. and there were some good-enough job to correct some damages in the cabinets and walls in the patio, we had them fix them up and replace some doors. they were able to accommodate us. i guess you just need to ask and ensure your satisfaction is 100%. Just be ---- when you have your move in inspection to point out every flaw despite if they are spacked onto or so small to the eye. point point and record record. period.
They aren't always well staffed at the office which can be a while to wait for when you want/need something. So, I usually ----- over the phone or e-mail if needed. Some staff are new and not so helpful when they are obviously clueless with some questions I ask.
Environment: the neighborhood is friendly and pet-friendly. A lot of children but well behaved and we don't see them scattered around but playing in the parks. Pool areas are usually well balanced. The location is hard to beat. A lot of items are within walking distance. The gym at the complex has been upgraded. a plenty of cardio equipment is available for just a quick cardio u need to pull in... but yet still no free weights so, I still stick to my 24 fitness.
There is some flaws here and there but overall, its a great apartment.

Wow. I agree with the first response. This reeks of viral marketing. Especially with the recent rent increase; it is the perfect time to bump up the Archstone Hacienda rating.
"Our rent just went up but look how great it is here..."
So its either viral or your husband pulls in a -----ton of money allowing you to upgrade from an already overpriced one bedroom to a two, and allowing you extra money for a 24-hour Fitness membership!? That sounds wise in a recession. Especially when there is a perfectly good gym on site. Even if it only stays open until 10PM which is the time I would actually like to get in there.
And to top off the high rental rates, tennants have to pay for water, sewer, garbage, and all other utils. They are also extremely uptight and only give you until the 3rd of the month @ 10AM to pay rent online when their offices don't even open until 10AM. "Ummmm paradox, is that you?"
And if you don't get it in they slap your ass with a $50 fee.
This place is outrageous! Their prices have done nothing but go up, up, up!
I have a BMR 1-bedroom apartment and even my rent is going up. The ridiculous thing is that I could relocate to another Archstone or within Archstone Hacienda and my rental rate stays the same, but if I remain in the same apt. the rate goes up...? WTF sense does that make? Think about it: they will have to clean, paint, etc. two apartments as opposed to one not to mention put the tenant through the hell of relocating and all things/costs associated with moving. Trust me I have moved about 8 or 9 times since I graduated from high school in 2000. Archstone is completely ass-backwards.
I love the apartment, but it is a shame that Archstone is such a f**king blood-sucking leech on their tenant's respective pocketbooks.
