We moved into this complex about 9 months ago. It was a very nice complex well presented and because it was in Pleasanton we assumed that it was overall pretty safe...we were WRONG!
When we moved in the first day our walls were painted the wrong color. They give you a "complimentary" painting on two accent walls and instead of painting them the tannish brown color they painted them a golden yellow color.
Next was when our bathroom began growing mold because there are no windows in it and the ventelation fan sucks...on top of that the cocking on the shower was not sealed correctly and for god knows how long the water was leaking out of the shower and down on to the floor. Our bathroom seriously smells like a show because of the mildew and they REFUSE to replace the floor.
Now onto the leaking sink. In the kitchen our sink began to leak. Now at first we did not notice it because all of our cleaning supplies were under there that typically are used one or so a week, but once we opened the cupboard you saw that there was nearly 3 inches of water that ruined all the supplies. They came and replaced our faucet, but it was clear this was not the first time this has happened because the warping of the wood previously, that explains it.
Don't even get me started on the washer and dryer...it holds ummm...nothing at all...it is soooo small! But the worst part of it is when you run it it sounds like an earthquake because it makes this EXTRMLEY loud pounding sound during the spin cycle. Obnoxious!
About a month ago we smelled a cat pee type smell, we don't have a cat. We were determined to find where the smell was coming from. We opened the coat closet right when you walk in the door the smell lwas overwhelming. We started to pull the blankets and pillows that we store in here out to find that they have all turned green with mold, it was more storage then anything! Turns out the neighbors pipe was leaking right into our closet. We called for the apt. to fix it...did not show...called again...did not call back...called one more time and they finally showed up. Cut about 7 inched up from the baseboard all around the closet and put this VERY loud fan in there to dry any moisture.. 1 month later and the fan is still in the closet, were are still missing part of our wall and the carpet has not been replaced with the mildew so it is totally unusable. After numerous phone calls we still have not heard from anybody!!! Ridiculous!
Now about a month after we moved in we had cops knock on the door because our neighbors house had been broke into and a bunch of stolen and they wanted to know if we saw anything...Today, we got to experience this first hand. We are on the bottom story and our patio backs up to a green belt. I guess while we were out someone jumped over our 5-6foot gate and stole our very expensive bikes right off the patio. The nerve!
Please take it from me...DO NOT MOVE HERE! GO anywhere but here....
