My wife and I moved here when the complex was Toscana back in 2004. At the time I loved it. Clean, quite and comfortable. Great building with management and service people that really seemed to care about the quality of life for the residents.
Unfortunately all good things must come to an end. Amli took over and all hell has broken loose. The first thing that changed was service from the office. Instead of tending to the needs of current residents they only worked for new leases. In order to get a response to a question or service request I had to leave message after message after message. Everytime I'd go down and complain I'd just get a rude response from one of the morons in the office.
I'd say the biggest problems in the complex is noise and trash. For the first 3 years I lived here a trash valet service came to pick trash up at your door. Amli ended the valet service to clean the place up. I asked if they planned on added more dumpster as there is only one dumpster (which may as well be located in Upland). The front office told me the city refused to issue them the proper permits. I called the city and was told no suck request had been made. Guess a lie was easier to tell a resident than the truth (that Amli is too cheap to invest in their property). In my building many of the residents have simply decided to just dump their trash at the bottom of the stairs rather than making the 10 mile trek to the dumpster. Consequently my building is dirtier than ever. Of course the management office just disagrees with me. Not exactly an office full of Mensa members.
The other major problem is noise at all hours of the night. I guess it'd be hard to blame this on Amli except this was never a problem before they took over.
Bottom line: If you would like to pay an arm & a leg for an apartment full of noisy, drunken kids who can't figure out where to dump their trash and a management company that cares about you until the ink is dry on your lease then Amli at Empire Lakes is the place for you. If you want to do better open the classified section of a newspaper, close your eyes and point. You're bound to do better.
After 3 1/2 years I am finally moving out....Freedom!

Everything is so true! Especially the part about the lease. After you sign consider yourself done!

Any insight on Building 4? Is it pretty loud as well or is it decent? Thanks!
