AMLI vs. a really nice cardboard box

First off, there are MANY reasons why this complex is the lowest rated place in Rancho Cucamonga, but here are just a few of my personal reasons. I lived there for over two years and moved in when it was still the Toscana, and it was a rather pleasant experience. The staff was nice and the management was fair, but when AMLI took over, they changed policies and hired a whole new staff that was about as pleasant as a hemorrhoid. They were fond of arbitrarily closing down the office for half or full days for vaguely described "office events" and not offering up any alternative for help or maintenance. The complex itself looks nice but I'm pretty sure they built the walls with really thick card-stock. My upstairs neighbors either sumo-wrestled or had a bowling alley in their unit and I could hear every single movement they made. All day, all night; they were loud, messy, inconsiderate sumo-wrestling bowlers with a yappy dog, and the staff did nothing to remedy the situation, even after multiple letters.
As many other complainers have noted; the parking was terrible and the trash issue was a joke. The complex is large enough to warrant more than one moderately-sized dumpster in the far corner of the complex, so if you live in units on the south-side you'll probably have to throw all your trash in your car and drive it over. On a positive note, that's still better than their old policy of having hundreds of tenants leaving their trash on the main level of the units, then having the winds blow used diapers and banana peels all over the apartment grounds and making your apartment smell like the inside of an overturned port-o-potty.
So, by unanimous decision in AMLI vs. a really nice cardboard box, a really nice cardboard box wins by TKO. Seriously, avoid this place at all costs, and even if they appear nice and friendly at first, they'll ultimately nickel and dime you and treat you unprofessionally by the end of the first month. They may even kick you in the groin if they get the chance.
