I have been with AMLI for over 4 years now and was transfered from Denver last year in November to become the Community Manager for Empire Lakes. My family and I moved here and love the community. AMLI Residential has a goal to provide an outstanding living environment and that is what I strive to do. I am responding to this because I am very concerned about some of the issues that have been posted. I feel I am a person who has open door communication and I am very receptive to feedback. I am very open to things that you feel can benefit our community and our residents. Unfortunantely, when the community was built prior to AMLI ever becoming the management company, they did not build us to accomodate additional trash recepticales throughout the community. We were also having issues with our previous valet company and with the residents misusing the service, we were asked to discontiue the valet trash service. We have not stopped looking into options and finally feel we may have a solution to our trash issue. We will be sending out an email to our residents that have provided us with one later today to see the response. As far as other issues that are listed for example, the fire department walks that occurred last week. We, as management company, were not made aware of the apartments that were being walked until that day. If the fire department told someone something different then that I apologize. I also live on the community and was not made aware if my home was being walked until that morning. As far as the issue of us going through your trash, we do go through any trash left under breezeways or in the parking lot areas. We do this to be able to charge the correct person for the trash that is being left. It is not fair for the entire community to walk the trash down to the compactor while others are not doing it with no penalty. We have sent several letters out stating if your trash is left out you will be fined. We will also be having community meetings every few months to allow everyone to come together and address these issues. I ask that if you have any further issues to please contact me at --------@amli.com or ------------. Thank you, --------------

Noise is bad, as you're right on a huge main street with truck traffic and a signal, so the car stereos will stop and vibrate your walls. Second floor? you'll have people up top and below, and perhaps to one side. Don't put your bedroom anywhere near the stairs, or people will wake you up going up and down like elephants, and the kids like to scream in the stairways because of the echo. Parents just laugh and think it's cute. The office will tell you only what they think you want most to hear. Of course, they're not going to say the noise is bad! There *are* some really nice folks in that building, but they aren't all that way. I hope you get nice people around you. The trash is still what it is. We have to put the dirty, smelly trash into our cars to drive it back, but they *do* keep up the trash area VERY well. We'd rather have the trash valet service back. One good thing I *can* tell you is that the Manager seems to be very proactive about noise complaints, so if you *do* have a problem, she would be the one to deal with it. She seems to be quite effective with things like this. My advice? get to know your neighbors, so you can be on friendly terms; then, if noise becomes an issue, you can deal with it in a productive way and not get into a petty noise war. Best of luck, and welcome.

I have contacted the office on numerous ocassions about barking dogs on patio's, noisy neighbors having parties at 2am in the morning, domestic disputes and neighbors smoking pot on their patio and every time they tell me to call the Rancho Cucamonga Sherrif's department. I have been told to do this by ----- the resident Manager as well as ----- the assistant Manager. I even had an incident where their was a barking dog and had to take pictures of the dog on the tenants patio that kept barking. The tenant was keeping his dog on the patio for days on end. The management office was so lazy they didn't even want to go to the tenants patio to see the dog and take pictures themselves. They don't ever take matters into their own hands. They require a police report so that they can start the process of eviction of disruptive tenants. However these disruptive tenants still remain in the building. As a result of this we loose good neighbors and then a whole new class of tenants move in. In the near future I will be posting pictures of the huge amounts of trash bags being left all over the complex as well as pictures of where people even throw their trash over the fence into the Empire Lakes Golf course. Additionally I will be posting pictures of the unsightly look of the main trash enclosure and how disgusting it is. I will also post pictures of the disturbing letters that other tenants leave on other tenants doors accusing them of leaving their trash in the breezway. I will also post pictures of vehicles that have been stored in visitor parking spots for over a year. Don't believe that ----- the resident Manager will do anything because she doesn't. I have filed complaints with corporate and these poor excuses of managers are still employed. I am so happy that this website exists to let the world know about this management company and community. I will let other tenants in the building know of this website because I am sure they would also love to put their 2 cents in as well.

In response to this review that was posted. We know of the issue that you are speaking of and the dog issue was addressed within 48 hours. In addition any and all apartment communities will require a police report to be able to take legal action against any apartment being issued a noise violation. The eviction process had begun on the residents you are speaking of and the courts dismissed it due to them now complying. This is not something we could have helped as a management company we did everything we could and that apartment could be issued a non renewal letter at the end of there lease. As far as illegal drug activity any reports submitted by the residents I send directly to our crime free division they handle it from there. As for us not taking matters into our own hands it is not my position as the manager to subject anyone on my teams safety. We are an apartment community and are dedicated to providing an outstanding living environment. However some issues must be dealt with by authorities. We are working on bringing back the valet trash and hope to start it in 2009. I would love for you to attend our next community meeting to discuss these issues in person if you would like. We look forward to hearing from you.

The manager spends more time surfing the web than managing this place. Take a survey and see how the tenants really feel. We hate this place. Why do you think so many people are moving out???

When I gave my notice to move, the manager was very rude to me. She asked why I was moving. I explained that I felt the trash issue was not being addressed, the crime was too high, the tenants were loud, rude and lower class than when I first moved in. She became very defensive and tried to call me a liar. She denied that any of these concerns were valid. A coworker of mine had the same type of issue with her.

AMLI Corporate has been investigating the postings that have personally attacked the employees at Empire Lakes and Day Creek and these postings are false. Responses allegedly posted recently by management are also false. Valid complaints and issues may be directed to AMLI Corporate in Chicago, IL. See www.amli.com.
