If you are looking for a place to live in Rancho Cucamonga dont even bother wasting your time looking at the Reserve at Empire Lakes. I currently live here (only because it is 2k to break my lease) and have had nothing but problems ever since I have moved in! Majority of the problems you can not tell by the initial walk through but BEWARE!

My first bad experience came when I tried to exercise my right to break lease within the 30 day notice (a guarentee that they sold me on before I signed my lease). They informed me that my reasoning was not valid enough and that they apologize but it would cost me 2K to break the lease. I would have been better off telling them a lie than telling them the truth!

Beware of the leasing agent named -----!! She will tell you anything to get her commision check from you! I was also informed when I moved in that I could have a satelite dish that was "not permantely attached to the building". I had the installer from DirecTV install my dish to the rail of my patio (something that 75% of the dish users in the complex have done). A month later I recieved a letter on my door stating that I was breaking the lease and that all satelites have to be on a tri-pod (that lil lie she told cost me $40!). I then took the sheet into the office and told a fellow leasing agent that the dish guy would be out to change it in 3 weeks and two days later I recieved another notice for the same thing. I asked them the second time to stop harrassing me!

----- also informed me that if I get a 909 area code then I could put my name in the directory so I can let guest in. After I changed my number I asked the front office to put me in the system and it was at this time that -----s manager informed me that they can only do that with land lines. Thanks for the advice -----!

The buildings are shaped like a U. If you have a window that faces torward the inside of the U you can hear EVERYTHING when your window is open at night becuase the sound bounces off the buildings. I have lost many hours of sleep because of parties, neighbors fighting and neighbors having sex.

My assigned parking space is 192 paces and three floors up from my apt. That ends up being .11 miles and approx 60 ft up from my parking space. I dont even park in my parking space 90% of the time because there is public parking MUCH closer to my door.

When I moved in all of the gates to enter the apt complex had locks. 2 weeks later they removed them all.....that was 3 months ago! Anyone can walk through the complex and look into cars and steal whatever they want.

In my opinion I am the "perfect" tennat. I am single, live by myself, just moved to SoCal and know no one so I very rarely have guest over, I make good money and have paid my rent and bills on time every month and overall am a quiet guy. Evidently that is not good enough for the leasing office here and they feel the need to harrass and lie to their tennats every chance possible.

STAY AWAY!!!

A few points "perfect" tenent... 1 - A dish attached to the railing is just that, permanently attached to the building! 2 - It is common knowledge that the gate line and any apartment can only be hooked up to landlines. 3 - Noise is a part of apartment living. Go rent a house if you cant live with it. You stated you make good money right?! 4 - If you are counting paces and measuring distances to from your front door to your assigned space, you have too much time in your hands and probably explains why you wrote this worthless review. This must be your first time in an apartment since daddy kicked you out. Welcome to the real world of following rules and abiding by them. I personally have been helped by ----- and she is wonderful. Attacking her and stating that she will do anything for commission is completely false and shows your juvenile thinking.

"Booreserve" lets see here. I'm guessing you tried to break your lease because like you said in your previous review that you were new to the area and it seems like you're bitter because maybe you wanted to move somewhere else where everything was a big party... am I right? And you couldn't break you lease unless you paid a penatly ( which I'm almost certain is in your lease, if you read it) so now you hate everything. First off, Common knowledge my friend, you can't attach satellites to the property of an apartment complex, period. You said you were a "perfect, single and young tenant who always pays his bills on time", etc. Well, I'm sure your neighbors would say otherwise, whether its your neighbors at your complex now or a previous complex. No one is perfect, so cut the high and mighty act. You're not entitled to anything. Secondly, Its very macho of you to go on a website and grip about -----. How would you feel if someone went to a website for your job and posted similar things about you on it? If you were a smart man, which you clearly are not, then you would have read the lease and any other guides or property rule books regarding your apartment complex yourself instead of blaming all of your ignorance and stupidity on a leasing agent. Way to go "Booreserve", you seem like such a catch. No wonder your single.

Well, I think that Caclassic and anonymous have pretty much summed up why this is a bad place to live. Cleary they are both people that work here (and I guarantee one is -----) because any other actual tenants here would care less if a fellow tenant is complaining about a satellite dish and whether it is "permanently" installed or not on an internet site. Heck, they are probably appreciative since almost ALL of the satellite dish users were forced to switch how their dish is installed (on their on dime might I add). I would LOVE for someone to go onto a website and talk about my job and how professional I am BECAUSE I have no secrets to hide and conduct my business in a honest professional manner. I recognize on a daily basis that my reputation is what is perceived of me so I make sure that I don???t tell lies (please note the plural part of that) to my clients. Once again I bring up the question, why are you so worried about me telling the truth on the internet? Do you have something to hide? But then again judging by the 23% satisfation rate it seems like I'm not the only one that feels this way about the Reserve.

Yeah it's ridiculous the positive reviews are people that work at empire lakes and the biting replies are always the employees also. I agree with you the staff there sucks! There were some positive points about that place when I lived there, but I don't know if --------works there anymore but she was the worst of them all. The only one who I felt I could count on was -------(however that's spelled). She was nice and helpful.

by the way...you DON'T need a landline to use in a call box. I live in another apt and am looking here for my friend, but my boyfriend and I BOTH use our cells in our call box and it works just fine.

Your right they sold me on the cell phone mess and then when I moved in told me I needed a land line.... Do anyone know the correct color of the pain on the thise porus walls becaus ei was infomed that I can get touch up paint whenever I needed it and have been asking sinc eI moved in and they hmissed some spots. All I got was the run around and not to mention my last message was for me to go to home Depot and use a color swatch and match it up myself and get the paint that way.. Way out of line..
