First rent hike after one year... $100.00
One year later... $175.00!!!

The living room is quite small, the kitchen slightly awkward, and the fireplace made an obnoxious noise so we didn't use it. Other than that, no major problems. Grounds were nice, and we felt safe. Good central air in the apartment, and insulation was good for noise from other apartments, however, the street noise was horrible!

The biggest disappointment (and this is really a "live and learn thing")
is that we had a "view" apartment where the views were indeed very nice, but
Los Alisos Blvd is sooooooo noisy, that we couldn't really enjoy it. We tried sitting out on our balcony once and it was so awful, that we just went out there once in a while for a minute or two to see the sunset. It also seemed that the Blvd. "amplified" the noise as well. Took me a while to get used to it at night. The good thing is that since it's a mostly residential neighborhood, I didn't hear the street noise much after midnight. (BTW, in the noise rating, I gave it "poor" for this reason NOT because of neighbors)

But it was the nerve of them asking for another $175.00 that was the thing
drove us out! Not worth that kind of money!
