I've had 2 friends who have come over here and had something happen to their car. One of my friends got rear ended in the parking lot, and the guy just left after the accident only to leave her with a totalled car the next morning. my other buddy had his car keyed. also if you look at the registered sex offenders in rsm, you'll find that a lot of them live in this complex alone. the people who live here are also really weird... theres been a few evictions from drugs. and also i have had an incident with someone looking thru my sisters window late at night. the majority of the residents in this community are mostly under 23, and make so much noise with there partying, and they really dont give a ---- about others. ALSO, when we moved in our carpet was clean... but then a few weeks go by and stains just started to appear... i guess it was a quick cover up. they've also had mildew problems with most of the units in the past. within one month, ive caught 4 rats in my kitchen. they send out maintenance to attemp to fix the problem, but they never do. they also had maintenance cleaning the upstairs unit after 11 pm one night when i had to wake up for for work the next morning. i asked them to stop, and they refused, so the police were called. its like mexico city in this place!! everywhere i walk, even if its to my mailbox, i get dirty glares from --------, who act like a white man killed there mother. man... if i remember anymore, ill put it up.

The person who wrote is quite misinformed. Someone can back into your car at a grocery parking lot or ina residential neighborhood and leave. that says nothing about the complex. Also, look on Megan's Law and you'll see that no sex offenders live here. The only reason a maintenance person would be in a unit after 5pm would be due to an emergency. I'm sure that if your toilet overflowed, you would like for someone to fix it right away and not wait because your downstairs neighbor may be inconvenienced for about 30 minutes. The dirty glares may be in response to your own attitude and presentation, possibly even your prejudice. I'm sure that the reason this posting is on here is because you weren't given something you thought was reasonable but in all reality wasn't. That's okay, but be honest when you post negative comments, people on the outside can tell the amount of exageration written in this posting. Be honest, not bitter.

Oh please! I lived at VLP for a year and it was a nightmare. I don't doubt ONE WORD of what this poster says, just like I don't doubt that the comment above was posted by the mgt. MY car was vandalized when I lived there, and my roommate's brand new car was damaged from partiers using the clubhouse. Read the rest of the posts on this site - car damage, vandalism, and slashed tires are very common occurrances. VLP IS filthy and disgusting. The day I moved out one of the VLP maintenance guys commented to one of my movers, "Those people must be so happy to be getting out of here, this place is awful." Also, the reports of a guy looking in windows is not new - another, earlier post by someone else mentions the same problem. It's been quite some time, yet nothing has been done STILL! The place is overrun with illegals, I not only saw it myself but heard it directly out of the mouth of an employee a week before I moved. He told me all about the apartments with nothing but mattresses on the floor because so many people live there and how their piles of garbage and rotting food cause the bug and rat problems. He confirmed the subletting issues, he confirmed the drug problems, he confirmed the issue of people living in garages. I've heard about the rats and the mold not only from other residents but from the EMPLOYEES WHO HAVE DEALT WITH IT. Parking is a nightmare, the cops are there CONSTANTLY, the mgt invades residents' privacy with "inspections" of apartments and garages CONSTANTLY, and nothing is done to resolve problems. When someone complains the problems are then blamed on THEM. The mgt refuses to take any responsibility for any of the crap that goes on there. A mentally unstable middle-aged man in the building next to mine would scream all night long, the cops were at his door all the time too. I WITNESSED THIS TIME AND TIME AGAIN and I heard the stories from the lady next door to him who lived with it every single day. His direct neighbors were scared to death of him!! I know all about how the mgt treated her when she tried to have it addressed. She told he about the day she couldn't leave her apartment when she was home alone because he was banging on her door every half-hour and the mgt told her they were not allowed to talk to him about it. She had to call the sheriff to be escorted out of her own home. He also had a habit of banging on his next door and downstairs neighbors' doors and screaming in the middle of the night, leaving things on the doorsteps, and threatening people. When I left this had been going on for FIVE YEARS yet not one thing was done about it. Before I left the mgt threatened to illegally raise my rent out of spite AFTER I had given my notice and was still under a lease. They shut up after they found out I'd spoken to Renter's Rights authorities. There is no way in hell I would ever step foot back on that property, even to visit. The mere thought of it makes me physically nauseaus! There is also no way in hell I would ever doubt one single word of complaint ANYONE posts about VLP. I have read every post on this site, including quite a few which no longer appear and I have yet to see one single thing that I would suspect had been fabricated or even exaggerated. I witnessed too much myself! And to the mgt person who posted in response to this post - you might want to be careful about what you say, Ashley lost her job over what she posted here and the way she treated residents who posted. The only lies I've seen here are the phoney positive ratings planted by VLP employees. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see some responses from people who were considering VLP until they read the comments on this site and got an idea about how absolutely atrocious the place is. I'm not the first person here to suggest it, but I'm going to say it again......instead of attacking people who have legitimate complaints, why don't you FIX THE PROBLEMS and earn some legitimate compliments? Better yet, bulldoze the place and start over. PS: I check the Megan's law site myself from time to time and there HAVE been sex offenders living at VLP. Just because there isn't one there today doesn't meant there wasn't one there yesterday and won't be at least one more tomorrow.

wanna know something else funny? half the managment in the office was fired... and they constantly have new temps taking there place until they hire a permanent... that shows right there how irresponsible and uneducated western national is. its sad that management actually lives in the community and they STILL defend the damn complex as if its a good neighborhood.

I live at VLP and I agree it is the most disgusting an awful place that I have ever lived in. It is like I am living in Tijuana. I agree with everyone who has posted negative responses on this website. I have personally seen the police called to this complex at least 5 times in response to domestic violence or drug problems. I did not know how bad it was until I was home with my newborn baby and I had to constantly put up with my neighbors and their madness. I was told by the leasing office that they are not responsible for the safety of my family and that I pretty much have to deal with it. I am counting down the days until I am out of VLP.

Yes, this is one of the worst place to rent at. It is so obvious that the staffing or managment of this place are the ones writing back to all the negative feedbacks and write something positive. I know for a fact that they read these posting because I once wrote something on this website, stating my most honest opinion about this place and not even 10 mins later, i had the assistant manager call me and said "if you have any concern, please adress it to us instead of posting something when your upse". Hmmm, I wonder how they knew I was upset. Not to remind you but I was actually honest enough to show my name on the posting because i had nothing to hide. I was truthful on what I said. I dont have time to write false information, plus how will that benefit me.
