OK 1-bedroom if you live upstairs

The 1 bedroom apartment is definitely larger than most, and the beige tone of the dining room wall made it stand out a bit. However, noise was a serious problem, as the central AC unit is very, very loud when it is on. I'm not sure if the actual AC unit was in the building or what, but it was immensely loud. The neighbors' conversations can also easily be heard, which is unsettling because that means they can hear yours as well. I lived upstairs and never had any problem with theft, but my neighbors below me got a laptop stolen from their bedroom through the window during broad daylight. Living upstairs also meant the apartment heated up faster than the downstairs units because you receive more sunlight, but this place was something else. There must not have been any insulation whatsoever, because it felt like the apartment would get hot very quickly if you shut off the AC. The place I moved to after Pinewood did not have this problem, and it was also upstairs.
I also had a tremendous problem with these black spiders in my corner unit. They just kept appearing over and over again. Also, one of the trees they had near the never-used volley ball court fell while my visiting niece was playing in the courtyard. As far as 1 bedrooms go, there definitely are better options around in the same price range.
