Satisfactory Experience, But Wouldn't Recommend It

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004
I moved into these apartments when they first opened in 2002. It was like a dream community. The grounds were stunning, I felt secure and the leasing staff were warm & accomodating. I was thrilled to be living here. I didn't even mind the noise from the trains because I felt there were so many other positives about living at Franklin Street. All of my friends were jealous that I was fortunate enough to make this community my home...however it has all changed.
The guest parking is always full and my guests can never get a parking spot. It will take them 30 minutes just to get street parking. The fire alarm here always goes off. The leasing staff changed-over about a year ago, and they are nasty, unmotivated people. I don't even deal with them at all anymore except to get packages. Eventhough we are paying nearly 2 grand/month for secure living, this complex is overrun by thuggish outsiders. They have spit on the doors of the elevator, vomited in the interior walkway, sprayed graffiti on the walls and are generally loud and make this place very unsafe. The security is hardly ever present here and the doors are easy to get into and access the property. The gates to my garage don't work sometimes...sometimes they are opened and left open for days at a time. Anyone from the outside can just wander in, hop in the elevator and wander around the complex - and they do! None of my friends feel safe coming to visit me now, so they don't. I go over to my friend's homes now.
Franklin Street looks good at first, but once your lease is signed, it is all downhill. The quality has definitely diminished a lot during the past year. I will be moving out once my lease is up and I can't wait.
With the money that I pay here, I expect luxury. What I have gotten is the complete opposite.
