Watch Out : They will use every trick to keep your Deposit

While this apartment complex is in a good location the economic conditions have turned them into cheap skates. We recently left to go out of state after only 11 months in the Apartment. They kept more than 90% of our deposit. With only two black marks left by a lamp touching the wall they claimed they had to repaint an apartment they painted 8 months ago. Not an honourable/fair management.

Hi dpandrew2, As the manager of Pescadero, I'm sorry to hear you feel this way about your deposit refund. I personally processed your deposit accounting and reviewed this file and can attest to the validity of these charges. You had a relatively low deposit on your apartment and almost 1/3 of it was already committed to your final utility bill. As you mentioned, you were charged for touch-up painting to cover the marks left in your apartment. We charged an hourly rate for the exact amount of time it took, and then prorated the amount based on the length of your residency. Because you were in this apartment for almost a year, we only charged you half of the actual cost. Again, I'm sorry the amount of your refund was less than you were expecting. We're just trying to make sure that our new residents can enjoy the same level of quality in their apartment as you did in yours.

I wish just once the Manager would respond to current tenant request or repair as quickly as she does to written public, Negative feedback. My god if your a tenant and want the manager to respond please put it on Apartmentratings.com for all to see. I bet you get that clog fixed asap
