Lovely apartments, Awful, Awful Management

First let me start by saying the apartments here are really quite lovely. They're spacious and beautiful on the inside. The outside has recently been renovated for the worse, but how often do you spend time outside, anyway'
But unfortunately, living here is made almost impossible by the difficult personality of the manager. Put mildly, he is a stickler for rules and policies to the extent that he is utterly inflexible. Park your car too close to the line on your space and voila! you get a cheap imitation of a ticket with strict instructions to park more courteously. He patrols the area like an enforcer, checking to make sure all cars and objects are in their proper place. He is slow to respond to legitimate concerns, but quick to chastise for minor offenses.
Lastly, the pet policy. They allow pets, which is terrific, but apparently the pet policy is that if you're given a notice that they have to enter your premises (on an unspecified time in the next three days, mind you), and you have a pet who may run away or react poorly to a stranger coming in, it is your responsibility to lock the pet up. Everywhere else I've lived, managers have tended to be a bit more understanding about our furry friend and worked with us to schedule a specific time that may be more convenient.
So in sum, if you can put up with the frequent hassle and utter intransigence, you'll love living here. Otherwise, look for a place that is managed in a more laid back fashion.
