I resided here almost three years despite the home burglaries, random homicides and car thefts but I didn't have a problem with none of those. My problem was from the management starting from when I first filled out the application. The desk clerk went off to Popeye's chicken and left me in the front office for an hour to fill out my application which only took ten minutes. After moving in I found out some one was murdered in the unit below me and everyone there was moving out. They failed to inform me about the murder I found out through the evacuating tenants and saw the bullet holes in the unit below. After 4 months of living in an abandoned facility, neighbors began to move in and one had their door kicked in by burglars while I was at home eating dinner. The rent was raised repeatedly (two times a year) no rent control here and they say affordable housing. Management likes to tow the tenants vehicles for minor, silly things like parking backwards and my vehicle was towed while my tags where in the mail two weeks after expired registration. I had to pay for the tow $200 and showed proof that it was in the mail but was not reimbursed. Most all the neighbors I spoke to with cars has had their car towed at least once or had their visitors vehicle towed. Management is slow to respond if they respond at all to your complaints or concerns. I had to put locks on my license plate, gas cap, rims, tires and steering wheel and have a detachable face stereo after learning about the neighbors who had their plates stolen and car broken into. Crimes happen all over Richmond but it's the management that makes this place very unpleasant. I can proudly say that I was a great tenant who was never late paying bills, got along fine with neighbors because I was quiet, clean and neat. When I finally moved I cleaned my unit very well, the walls, carpet, oven, refrigerator and bathroom (I was already a clean person) but did not get back any deposit money $500. You've got to be kidding me! Sharks! You'll never have access to the pool or exercise room because of vandals and pool closures for any good reason you can come up with. Bottom line is be prepared to deal with unprofessional, poor management who are greedy sharks and unconcerned at all about your stay there. It SUCKS. The management sucks!
