I've lived here since fall of 2003 and at first it seemed like heaven. I've always heard of this place being so nice and seen it from the street. It does look nice from the outside i guess (in richmond standards). The amenities are nice, the gym can get crowded sometimes but slow in the later evening. There are a lot of pool I must say. 3 outdoor and 1 indoor. And 2 tennis courts. I thought the security was a joke here but last month my roommate's car got broken into and the security caught the punk.(I heard this has been happening a lot recently to other cars) And i thought the they just sit around. After that incident i've been paranoid about my car being out there. The place is well lighted in some areas but around the perimeter of the complex it is pretty dark and that is where a majority of all the guest parking is. If you have a "rice rocket"(lowered car), this place would be hell to you. There are hella speed bumps everywhere (its crazy). The thing i thought hilarious was the fact that people would ram the wooden gate almost everynight. Boy do i feel secure when i see that thing in the morning shattered in pieces. They do have alarm systems in each unit. They put the smoke alarm in front of the door to one of the bathrooms(which have no window) and when we take showers the steam set off the sensitive smoke alarm. Our appliance were in pretty good shape. We had to rent our own washers and dryer. carpet was clean, the balcony is puny. I think theres a problem with the sewage here, the toilet get clogged a lot and draino dont work! i've talked to a neighbor about this and she feel the same. I hear that it its really bad if you live along Richmond Parkway, because of the noise of the truck and cars revving by. I think thats true, with the rice paper walls that they have erected here. The units are lovely, we have a fireplace. I haven't had to call the maintance people yet. so i have no comment on them. The office staffs seem really nice. During rush hour richmond pkwy is soo busy, but you are very close to the shops. I hope my review of this place help you in your decision but i think we will be leaving by the time our lease is up. Do i recommend this place'... i dunno, mixed feelings i guess. But if anything else goes wrong here again it will a be a NO...until then its a YES.
