We have been living in our 3rd floor 2BD/2BA apatment for about a month now and have been pleasantly surprised. The apartment we moved into looked just like the model, it's spacious, beautiful and was immaculately cleaned. It also has a really pretty view, a huge balcony, an extra laundry room and lots of storage space. I love not having to lug my dirty clothes around to be washed. Maintenance has been quick to respond to our problems so far and they were friendly and courteous. I live on the outer edge of the apartment complex and it is SOOOOOO quiet, seriously, most of the time all I can hear is birds singing and the wind, it's very peaceful and relaxing. (The people who live near the pool have a much noisier area I'm sure) And the price is unbeatable! I was looking in Fremont at first for apartments and nothing I looked at over there even came close to how nice these apartments are, currently I am paying 1455 a month.

I haven't had to deal with the staff too much yet, so I can't vouch for how professional or unprofessional they are. I just have a few complaints. When we moved in, there was an small ant problem in just about every room. I sprayed everything with raid the first week and they haven't come back since (fingers crossed). Also there was something wrong with the security alarm and it beeps some kind of alarm every night. You only get one assigned parking space and parking is very limited. But overall I am extrememly pleased with my apartment. It's a place I can be proud to show my friends.

Addendum (Written 7/8/2006):

We've been living here 2 months now, still no complaints. The ants never came back, people came and fixed the alarm problem and we found lots of extra parking spaces in the back (you just have to walk a bit).

One thing, they talk about an express shuttle to El Cerrito Del Norte Bart, but it only comes like once an hour! The Bart station isn't as close as they make it sound, it's like 6 freeway exits away (it usually only takes me about 10 minutes or so to get there though)

The dry cleaning service is cool, you can just drop off your laundry at the front desk to be cleaned just like in a hotel.

I also like all the pools (one of them is indoor and heated!).

But most of all, I just think our apartment is absolutely gorgeous and I am soooo glad I moved in here.

I really don't get where all these bad reviews are coming from, maybe they just got a whole lot better since the management change, I don't know.
