Though it's a "gated complex" the parking lot gates are often broken (sometimes you can't even get in or out) and the front gates are ALWAYS broken. They're for looks only, apparently, and in the year and a half that I lived there, several cars were broken into and license plates (including 2 of mine) were often stolen.
Management isn't great but she tries and could be a lot worse. There are some sketchy characters in the complex but that's typical of many apartments. There have never been any incidents of theft inside any of the apartments.
My biggest complaint was the apartment itself. No insulation equals HUGE electricity bills, especially during the summer. If you move in, definitely get a bottom floor apartment, it will save you hundreds of dollars. Also, the 2-bedroom apartments are a better deal (I think) for what you're paying. One-bedrooms are just not a lot for what you're paying.
