Yeah, there are cheaper places. But you pay for the atmosphere. There's a man-made pond in the complex with ducks, turtles, and koi fishes. A little bird enclosure with doves and finches. Also, you don't get bars on your windows with low-class people selling drugs or have the police visit at least once a week like cheaper apartment complexes.
And about the reviewer that said that there's no parking' The aspens has ASSIGNED parking. One spot per apartment, which is what other apartment complexes offer. If you have 2 cars, yeah, finding additional parking spots can be difficult. They even offer the renting of unused spots if you need it, since some people don't have a car.
Dorothy's a good manager. Yeah, she does have her favorites. She likes the people who doesn't make trouble and doesn't get any complaints.
A few people who live here are not very good. For example, the couple who lived in an apartment across from mine who constantly fight. You can hear them screaming through closed windows. I just feel sorry their little baby who has to listen to her deadbeat dad and underaged mother yell at each other. Dorothy responded well to the complaints we called in about them.
They have recently renovated some of the apartments that are currently empty: new kitchen appliances, new carpet, new counter top. Looks good.
They also let you paint your apartment if you paint it back the way it was before.
