The worst of UCR's three apartments (vs. The Plaza and Stonehaven). It's ugly, dim, dark, and rundown (on the inside and outside), the doors leak, the stairs creak, the windows don't close, the furniture they give you is at least 20 years old (the beds are small, uncomfortable, and mushy) and loud, chirping crickets live within your walls.
The housing office is rude, dishonest, makes promises they don't keep (especially Mindy), and overcharges you on move-out day. They've been jacking up rents by about $100 every year since 2001. My Scots suite (the cheapest plan: a puny 250 square feet with a shared bathroom and no kitchen) was $325 back in 2000; now it's $630. That's $2.52 per square foot, which is higher than most places charge in infinitely nicer Orange County.
Sure, it's within walking distance of the school, but the same can be said of Summer Ridge, The Crest, The Plaza, other stuff on Linden, and apartments on the other side of the school.
On a sidenote, the school is ripping you off enough for your second-rate education anyway, so why would you want to support them further' Screw this place. k6tKKzmJrmATU2ap682S
