NOOOOO!!! Only move here if you are dead broke and absolutely cannot find any other place to move to in Riverside. Reasons why you should move to Bannockburn: 1. Every other apt burned down and this is all that's left. 2. You are homeless. 3. You have no friends that will take you in and let you sleep in their living room. Problems: Asbestos falls from the ceiling. I complained to UCR housing management and they at first told me to take a walk. Then I looked up federal and California building code regulations stating that they have to glue the ceiling to prevent asbestos from falling down before occupancy. The next day I showed them the documents I got form online and they backtracked so fast that my apartment was fixed within 48 hrs. with apologies! Imagine that. Even UCR has to obey federal law. LOL. This is the fasted I have ever seen UCR work on anything. Its great to walk to campus but really if you are paying 400 month to share a one bed one bath with another student and live in the living room of your own apt. you should expect more. Off campus housing provides a higher standard of living than this. Sure you can walk to campus and the school gym but you would also like a decent place to study as well. Also they charge 300 dollars for a UCR parking pass for your apartment. ughh. Also ants and spiders owned my kitchen despite prudent efforts of combat and raid from Ralphs. Vandalism was also frequent in the parking lot. The plus side is that their is a UCR computer lab in the complex where open 24hrs where you can get some serious work done.
