Ok place, but several problems

In general, the complex is a nice place to live in. I think it is considerably safer than other complexes. Although tere are still break-ins, it is not as frequent as other places near campus(UCR). So here's my opinion on the breakdown between bad and good:
The Good News: They are really good at taking your rent check a little late, as long as you have it in by the morning after it?s due. the people at the office are nice to talk to; If you live upstairs it is a lot safer and less likely to be broken into. You have a garage where you can store stuff, and the pool and two jacuzzis are really nice and secluded, although there?s always lots of people in it. The grouds are really pretty and there?s lots of trees. I felt safer here than at any other apartment i have lived in, and i have lived in several places close to UCR.
The Bad News: I liked the way things were running my first year living here (2001-2002) but they changed management the second year (2002-2003) and then things started to go downhill. My car got stolen, but management said they have police patrol the parking lot, but they stopped doing that i guess. However, they?re really good and prompt at towing your car when you don?t park in the provided spaces. They don?t even wait 2 hours and your car is already in San Bernardino in a tow yard. The management people are really nice to talk to, but they have been turning off the water almost every day for the past 8 months. I guess they were trying to get the pipes all replaced but it all backfired, and now they are closing off parts of the complex so you can?t drive through certain areas and into your parking spot. And management seems to be so disorganized. Twice they put up notices on our door saying that our lease is up and they?re raising the rent on us when actually our lease isn?t up until 6 months from then. It is true what others have said that the staff makes up their own hours of when they?re in. For maintenance, they used to be really good at fixing stuff, but now you have to jump through hoops to get something done. You have to call a phone number that is outside the complex, and they can?t tell you when things will be fixed.
