This place use to be great when Metric Properties ran it. But, now this place is being managed by FPI Mangement and "THEY FREAKIN' SUCK!" Rude Disrepectful, Inconvienent , Rip-off, Dirty, Parking sucks, Frequent Theft, Police in the area is unreliable, and they simply don't care about the saftey of of their female residences. Here are some examples of they way they handle things:
Disrespectful & Rude: You come into the front office expecting assistance and they roll their eyes at you and you wait forever to get someone to help you.
Rip-off: They want to remodel apartment that people have been living in for years, if you don't move out of that unit they jack up the rate. Rent went from $1100 to $1374.
Dirty: Trash area is extremely dirty. The maintenace and porter people don't even do their job. Smells really bad and looks like you live in a ghetto hood instead of luxury apartment.
Inconvienent: They want to charge you for every little thing. Their mailbox center sucks. Most often, the key doesn't work and you're standing their trying to open it and its stuck. The office continues to ignore complaints. I asked to switch keys with them since they don't want to do anything about the door. They wanted $5 to switch keys.
Parking: People have to park in handicap because there is no parking. They have these maintenace guys that park their big trucks and SUVs all over the place taking up 2-3 spaces at a time so when people come home there are no parking so we end up having to park at handicap for a few minutes until someone leaves. The maintence people goes and calls the tow truck people (because their homies is the tow guy). This is simply a setup. Neighbors have seen the maintenance guys park their cars taking up spaces and then neighbors have heard the maintenance guy call his friend saying come get the car now no one is looking. The tow company people "Capitol Towing" are jerks! They don't even allow a drop fee. they just yank your car out of there without trying to negotiate with you a service fee for your car back. They take your car to a auto body shop that stores your car in their mechanic garage (kinda fishy). Then they bribe you $600 for your car back. If you try looking up "Capitol Towing" they aren't even licensed to tow and they aren't even a registered business.
Theft: There is theft everyday. Security people don't do their jobs. People's storage unit have been broken into, I catch people jumping over my patio stealing stuff, my car was stolen right in front of my apartment, and things get jacked off your car.
Police: Don't even come when you call them. It's like theft occurs so frequent in this area that they simply don't car anymore and since these crimes are "minor crimes" and no one has died they take reports over the phone instead of showing up when you need them. These damn officers that patrol the area are lazy .
Safety: There is a pervert on the property. An old hispanic man that takes picture of female passers and throws eggs at people's car. I have file a complaint about the man and the office has not taken any action. He tries to be slick and close his blinds and duct so that you can't see him but you can see his flash. At times, you can catch him with binoculars in his patio.
Utilities Bill: When Metric's property ran the place my water was $20 a month which was reasonable for a 1 person 1 bedroom apartment. It was basically $20 every month for 2 years. Then these people from FPI Management came along and now every month my water bills is going up. It started out at ,$20 then went to to $30, then $55, and last month it was $75. This is ridiculous! I have called the office several times to ask them whats the deal..they tell me that they would call me back and then they never do.
Murder: Someone was beaten up in their unit and dragged to the dumpster area of the complex. There was a trail of blood from the person's apartment to the dumpster. Cops and Forensics sealed off the dumpster area and the entire building for 1 day to investigate. The managers failed to inform the residence of what happen and they were trying to coverup the incident. You can read about the incident at the press enterprise website.
