I lived here for a year and it started out great but progressively got bad due to unforeseen circumstances. The floorplan for the one bedroom is huge, and it is more than enough for two people and to have your computer desk in the living room. There is also a built-in bookcase. It was a dream. There is also underground parking, relative privacy on the balconies unless you face the street, and an elevator accessed by pushing a button from inside the apartment or using a key. Then the apartment complex started doing repairs, the first being the roof. However, there was a huge thunderstorm in Riverside and a section that the roofers did not cover up well enough fell through into our bedroom at about 2 AM. It took them a month to get it patched up because everything had to dry. The management let us have that month for free because we were inconvenienced, which was fine. However, then it got hot and we were trying to use the A/C. It turned out that from the ceiling implosion, it had some how affected the A/C. Someone came to look at it but never reported it to management that it needed to be replaced. This is in May/June, in 100 degree weather on the top floor, and we don't have A/C. We couldn't get our money refunded because apparently under the fair housing act, A/C is a luxury. The A/C never got fixed and we had to move out in that heat. It was awful. No compassion on the part of the landlady either. So my opinion of this place is so-so. The maintenence is great for the on-staff guys, but anything else takes forever like the roofers. Bea, the landlady, is nice and knows people by name, but wouldn't refund our money or let us out of our lease early. Huge floorplan though. Best One bedroom I've seen. about 1 mile from UCR's Lot 30.
