I first moved into Mission Grove in late 2001. My first impression of the complex was that it was extremely quiet and moderately kept up. However, ny view of the complex itself changed over the course of my stay.
Parking was a very big problem if you desired to be fairly close to your apartment. This became a very big issue for my self along with my roommate because after the third month here we no longer felt safe. After being informed by out next door neighbors, we were made aware that there was an older man that was constantly being seen standing directly in front of our apartment at all hours of the night. Myself and my roommate worked different schedules and were unable to both be there at the same time. I always got of work in the late evening to night. After we witnessed the man standing in front of our apartment ourselves we made management aware.
Management's response was none. We informed them that we no longer felt safe, but they did nothing to help resolve this matter. Regardless to say, it could have been an outsider because ANYONE could drive into the complex at all hours despite the two gates. We later learned that this man watching us was not a stranger but a fellow resident of the complex. When we let management know they still did nothing. I think the final straw was when I found the man pounding on our apartment door in the middle of the night. Needless to say, we moved out very soon after.
Aside from the stalker, the noise level after midnight at this complex increased dramatically. It sounded as if drag racing were going on within the complex itself. Another contributing factor for moving out were the constant domestic disturbances from our next door neighbors. I was frequently awoken by police sirens and screaming. There are many more problems with the complex ranging from insects,laundry being stolen to cars being abandoned in the complex. If I were you, I 'd look elsewhere!
