ONE WORD - LAWSUIT!!!!! I lived in this apartment for 1 year and had problems the entire time 1: The management Maria is a slum lord. In a direct and DOCUMENTED conversation, Maria informed me that there was no such thing as normal wear and tear . When you move in you will be informed that everything is new but it is not, nothing is new . When you move out you will be automatically charged for new paint, new carpet, and everything in between. She will tell you that, and I quote, most tenants loose their entire security deposit and must pay additional charges . Let me first tell you that this is illegal, refer to your fair housing manual and fair housing law. Luckily when I moved out I was checked out by an employee that was not biased and understood fair housing laws. When I called the next day to confirm that all documents had been completed and that I was going to receive my deposit in full I was then informed that I would still be charged for cleaning, painting, carpet, fixtures etc. I informed that I had a legal document signed and dated that said that the apartment was clean and free from any defects; she said that it doesn t matter. I called each sister apartment, Meadows and Terrace and confirmed that carpet was cleaned by Jose (unlicensed and uninsured carpet cleaner) for a price of $50. I also asked how much they charge for painting if I would like to have the apartment repainted for any reason and they informed that they will repaint if necessary for $150 to $200 depending on the maintenance staff. Let me recommend that anyone who lives in this complex invest in Prepaid Legal , they have been a great help to me. To make a very long story short, I am going to go to court with a video tape of the move in and move out inspections and comparative rates for all the carpet cleaners. I called Jose, he said he would clean for $50, Maria says that it will be much higher. This is FRAUD!!! Moving on to the less significant problems 2: Parking Lets say that your car is in the shop and you want to rent a car. You will go into the office and say, I just rented a car because mine is in the shop, can I have a tempory parking pass so that I can park in MY spot' Well, the answer is no, not for a week, not for a day, not for an hour, just NO. Also, lets say that you have a wife and you have 2 cars, go ahead and try to find parking after 6PM I dare you. There is no night parking, AT ALL. 3: The pool Dirty. 4: If you like drugs, you ll love this place. I have cops bang on my door at 3 in the morning asking to search the apartment for Mark . KNOW YOUR RIGHTS if there is no warent there is no search. Cops in this area are used to drug dealers, sex offenders, and violent criminals Still want to move in or do I need to keep going' 5: Lets say you got home late from work like about 8 or so, and you need to do laundry. Security will lock the laundry room door at 10 even if the machines are running. This is just complaining because it is posted that the room will be locked at 10, but the machines were STILL RUNNING! Forget getting your laundry for the next 12 hours. 6: Back on to the management They are rude, there is no way to ask questions without leaving mad. 7: Let me throw in that 2 of my friends that come over for dinner and had to park on the street because of the parking regulation had their car windows broken, on different nights. 8: Back to parking: If you park a car IN YOUR REGISTERED SPOT and there is not a Newport sticker in the window, it will be impounded. Not the open parking your own spot. I recommend that ALL people stay as far away from this apartment as possible. You will be treated like trash, they will attempt to comet fraud against you, and they will bill you for things that do not exist. This is the worst management that I have ever met in my entire life and I will never live in ANY of their apartments again.

In Response to this person - I have to call them a liar. When I applied in 2006 they ran a background check. I moved in and won't move anywhere else. I know my neighbors and none of them are drug dealers or any kind of criminal. as a matter of fact, they do NOT allow felons in here at all. They don??????t even allow anyone with a misdemeanor that has anything to do with drugs or violence. Which I like because my wife and kids are home at night by themselves. I work nights. Maria is a by the book kind of person and keeps things under control. But Maria is only the assistant manager. Mickey is the manager. Both of them are very helpful and make sure everything gets done right. As far as parking I have had my car in the shop many times and always have gotten temporary stickers with never a problem. I highly recommend this community to anyone that wants to live in a good place not a getto.

I am not a liar - Everything that I spoke about in my review was from MY experience with this apartment complex. First of all not everyone that is living there had a background check to move in. Maybe they can not have a parking pass but they have roommates that are not on the lease. Maria was a honorable person when I had to deal with her and everything that I say in my review was TRUE. If you are having a great experience there, Great, mine was honorable and I would still not recommend this apartment to anyone. Also, read the reviews, there is a reason that the rating is 40%, and the last review in there, I would question the content in that response. I would say to anyone, read the reviews and the responses and if you see a lot of really bad and then there is a golden shining review, who do you think is the liar?
