Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
I've lived at Peppertree for a year. I moved here from Wisconsin and moved in sight-unseen. I was pretty happy with the apartment, considering I wasn't able to look at any myself and it could have ended up being a dive. I've never felt unsafe. My car has never been broken into. My space is also always open for me.
There are a lot of kids living here, and they are awfully loud, especially in the summer. They shout profanity at each other (they're less than 10 years old!), start fires in the road, and set off lots of firecrackers. Some of the adult residents also occasionally play loud music, both in their homes and cars. I've even called to complain about dogs barking. Even though dogs aren't even allowed, they didn't seem too concerned to make it stop.
Hosting visitors is a pain. There is no parking inside the gates for non-residents, and the intercom at the walk-in gate does not work. The manager informed me there are also no plans to fix it. If you don't want a guest to get their car towed, they have to park far away and you must walk out to the front to let them in. It's a pain.
This is a relatively inexpensive complex for Riverside. The apartment itself is nicer than some others I've seen belonging to friends. All in all I think that it's not too bad for the price we pay. It's really expensive to live in Riverside.
