Not too bad, just lease problems

Overall I've been fairly pleased with my experience here.
I really like the layout of the apartment. It's not huge, but there is lots of storage space. The apartment was beautiful when I moved in; new carpet and new kitchen cupboards.
The neighbors have been really nice, I only had a problem with one of my upstairs neighbors being loud at all hours, but enough people complained and those people were evicted fairly quickly. Other than that all my neighbors are very friendly and quiet. I feel very safe.
My only real complaint is the same as another one here in terms of the lease. According to my lease papers my lease was up in August. I called them at the beginning of August because I hadn't received my renewal notice and they told me that my lease wouldn't be up until November. I didn't argue because they said I could still pay the same rent. November came and still no notice. I called again and they informed me that they were behind on their lease renewals because there is a new management company. They told me that I would get a letter when it was time to renew. They had no estimate of when that would be. I'm not complaining too much though because at least my rent is still at the same rate. I know it will go up as soon as it's time to sign another lease.
