I lived there for 3 years. In an attempt to make the place higher class, they did some unfortunate things. They chopped the high back yard fences down such that everyone dog can stare into your appartment as they walk by. They obliterated the lion's share of guest parking such that coming home at midnight I have to walk perhaps 1/3 of the way across the complex from my car to my apartment. They added "parking garages" which are tiny, shoddy, and overpriced.
All that said, their policies did improve the demographic from Gangster/Ghetto/Illegal to WhiteTrash/Stripper/MachineShop folk somewhat, and the frequency with which swarms of police cars clogged the interior did go down noticably in the last year or so.
That said, did have a car broken into twice and a bycicle double U locked to railing completely stripped of components.
In the end, the rent increases just did not warrant the location and condition of the property, and we opted for a mortgage instead.
