Telling it like it IS

I have been living here for about a month now. Where do I start'
Parking: When we were filling out the paperwork, they told us that it is not their responsibility to tow cars. Straight up, right off the bat. (so for all you calling the office. you are retarded.) Sometimes it seems there are also more apartments than spots. People park in handicapped pots even though they are not handicapped. Also, people park their third car in the visitor parking and expect it not to get towed. On the other hand, people let their friends park in uncovered spaces and expect them not to get towed. You get one covered spot and one uncovered spot, maximum two cars per apt I think. However, our assigned spot was a little far away and they told us to temporarily use a closer one, but we haven't heard back from them about that yet, even though we call.
Noise: Its really quiet here. I think we may be the loudest neighbors. Every once in a while you hear kids screaming while they play, or dogs barking, but that's about it.
Grounds: This place is really pretty, dog owners for the most part pick up their dogs doodoo, the grass is green, there are four pools and spas, and one of those is an indoor pool. The jets in the indoor spa don't work though. There are tennis courts, a gym with a yoga room, and a play ground for small children. There are lots of big grass areas. Its really pretty here.
Safety: Its kind of embarrassing, but I locked myself out of my apartment while walking the dog, and as i was sitting there, nothing happened to me, really nothing happened at all. There is a new security patrol, and they are here all night. When I first moved in, we were told that the security was NOT 24/7, but that it would be here at night. But the security doesn't enforce the parking.
Construction: The layout of the apartment is nice. there are three floor plans; one one bedroom, one two bedroom, and a two bedroom with a fire place. They also offer to paint accent walls, but you can paint them your own color if you paint them back before you move. We got all new appliances in our place.
Maintenance: The maintenance is really quick, and they will only come into your apartment if you invite them. Also, if you want to change stuff around in your apartment, all you have to do is ask them, and they will let you do it.
Staff: The staff is nice. We had a small problem with our key fobs not working, but we talked to someone else, and now they work. They do hold meetings during their work hours, and when you go in the office there is no one around anywhere.
Overall, if you have problems you should read your rental agreement before you make an issue out of everything, get yourself all worked up, and go online and make stupid personal comments.

You have been living here for a month. In many of our leases, it was stated security was 24/7 and they bragged about it. They also stated they would HIGHLY be enforcing the parking issue since about 8 months ago it was a disaster. In my lease, it says management has the right to tow your car, but they have never taken advantage of that right. I will agree that lately it has been much better and it seems like they either got a new property manager or corporate got too many complaints. But realize that previous leases ARE different and maybe it was the overwhelming amount of complaints that have made them improve.

Yeah, we have been having a few more problems. We got a parking space closer to our apartment, and they gave it away to this guy who just moved in, that was about a month ago. Then they gave us a new one, and promised they put it in the computer system, but they didn't. So then a couple weeks ago, someone is parked in our spot, and we called the office, and they said our spot was the one that was originally on the lease. So we went to the office and told them whats up and they fixed it. For now. >.>
Oh, and we just got a notice saying that crime was up, and to lock our doors on our cars and apartments. No wonder, considering the gates are always open.
Also, they just "fixed" the pavement here, but there wasn't any actual fixing, they just resealed it.
Also, the lead manager is kinda stuck up. She comes into my restaurant and asks for a specific table, and when she doesn't get it she leaves.
BTW anjoxy, if you read the lease, you should know that you have to pay to get out of it. I'm sorry Erin didn't tell you about that.
