we lived there for only 3 months, and couldnt stand it any longer. the onsite mgmt. is a joke. the manager , deloris myries, will terrorize you. she makes up things that are wrong , just so she can enter your apartment without permission ALL the time!! she once came in while i was in the bathtub. she will say one thing and do another. If you try to contact the corporate office, you will get nowhere. it is an automated system only. no live people.' we were without a working oven for months, even during the holidays. the manager did nothing. we couldnt move out of there fast enough. the sad part is that we were just one of the 19 people who moved out of there within a 2 month peroid.
the parking situation.. sigh.. dear god!! it is extremely limited and a pain in the ass. you have an assigned space, but people dont hesitate to steal it , if youre gone for longer than 2 minutes! then youre driving around and around and theres no where to park. the manager though, oh,, she thinks she can park wherever the hell she wants whenever the hell she wants. she had told us one time , that whatever spaces belong to empty apartments can be considered " free" parking spaces. so , what do i find on my windshield one morning after doing what she told me to do'' i find a huge neon unremovable sticker on my front windshield, right in the way of my view, so that i couldnt even see out the front to drive. i couldnt get it off at all. not even a little. i had to go to a windshield repair place on indiana, where the kind gentleman there had to use GASOLINE to remove it, and was shaking his head at the prospect that this had been done by an apartment manager!! he felt sorry for me, so only charged me 10 dollars instead of the normal 20 for such things.
can you believe she told us to park there, then had the audacity to put that on our windshield.
the parking there is such that each assigned space is marked with your correlating apartment number.. ours happened to be right next to the managers , and both of our spaces were very far away from our apartments. she felt free to just park wherever she wanted, regardless of whos space she was in. she said " im the manager. i can do whatever i want."
she actually had the maintenance guy put her apartment number (30) over on the other side of the covered parking area, between number 16 and 18, because that was her favorite spot. so if you look up at the covered parking, the number go 15, 16, 30, and 18. its --------. the poor person who lives in 17 , whos spot she stole, now has to park around the corner in number 30, where their number 17 sits between 29 and 32. the manager is a psychotic -----.
anyways.. that is just the tip of the iceberg at that place.
it is insane.
i feel sorry for anyone who lives there . every time i drive by there i still get the creeps and thank my lucky stars that we were able to get the hell outta there. if youre looking there, dont let looks fool you. dont let the managers candy-like sweetness attract you. its fake. the second you sign your papers , she treats you like crap. trust me, theres like 8 people here at our new apartment, who ALL came from sierra gardens with their own horror stories about that place. run. run while theres still time!
