I?ve lived here at the Crest for over two years, and a few months back new management took over the complex. For what seemed like forever we asked management to send maintanence over to our place to clean up the weeds in our yard. They promised us they would, yet after we renewed our lease (after having raised the rent by $200!) they said it was our responsibility and we would get fined if we didn?t take care of it. Also, they completely BOTCHED the parking system the previous management had created, making reserved parking spaces clear across the complex from your apartment. Also, there is a heavy parking problem with UCR students taking resident spots, but every time I complained to management they said it was my problem, to call the tow truck company.


As for safety, I haven?t heard of any break-ins but the grounds are poorly lit due to people breaking the lights. They remain broken so at night, after walking across the complex from your parking spot to your place, you have to be careful - scary for little females like myself.


The only worthwhile aspect of living here is the fact that you live across the street from UCR, but boy do you pay for it! My rent jumped from approx. $840 to $1050! As soon as my lease is up I'm outta here.


This place is SO not worth it - keep looking!!!
