Good, but not great

Glenbrook is the best complex in the Tyler area. Having lived in or visited most of the others, I can say that this is the best, but it is not without its own problems.
For the most part, I have no problem with Glenbrook, but a couple of things get me. First, there is no assigned parkings. There is more than enough spots to park in, but the problem is that spots are painted VERY narrow so most people just take up two spots to park. (NOTE: This problem might be solved soon because they are supposed to repave soon)
Another thing I didn't like was that the laundry room closed at 10 p.m. Since I got home from work around 9, that meant I couldn't get any wash done. The 2-bedroom units have hook-ups for full size washers and elec. dryers though.
On the plus side, they do have a nice basketball court on site which is rare and the pool, spa and fitness room are kept up. There is also a small playground and two tennis courts which I never use.
As for the apartment itself, the dishwasher and microwave (it is very big) are both new and work great. The range is a bit older, but still nice. You have to get your own fridge and the space allowed only fits a 18.2 cu. foot unit.
The neighbors are quiet most of the time. Mostly young families and singles live here, but there is some trashy folk around too (it is Riverside).
The management staff is nice and helpful. The few work orders I've had to put in have been taken care of in good time.
The management takes good care of the place. They recently repainted the car ports and garages and if the gates ever break they are fixed very quickly.
Overall, this is not a bad place to live, but not the greatest either. Compared to its neighbors (Riveroaks, Newport, Banbury Apts.)Glenbrook wins easily.
