If you can afford a $1000 cardboard box, this is the place for you!

High priced and falling apart! Let me start with the overall construction of this place. I swear the walls are made of papier-mache! A simple knock will put a hole through any door inside the apartment and there's no need for a hammer when hanging a picture, your thumb is all you need. A nail just slides through the drywall like a knife through butter... and the texture slides off the wall just the same for no reason at all.
With walls this thin, you can hear EVERYTHING! Cars driving by, the squeaky gates opening and closing, the dumpster kitties in heat, doors slamming (no one around here knows how to gently shut a door), your neighbors keys as they lock/unlock their door, dumpster-divers searching for cans and bottles at 4:30 a.m., alarm clock radios at 5:00 a.m. (people have no consideration around here), the trashmen at 6 a.m., the gardeners at 7:30 a.m., toilets flushing, showers running;, phone conversations, vacuums, air conditioners/heaters, the list goes on...
If it rains, drive at your own risk past the gate through Lake Glenbrook. Same goes if anyone on the block decides to wash their car!
In an upstairs apartment here at Glenbrook, there's no getting cool in the summer (even if you're lucky enough to have a working air conditioner, which I am not) and it's somehow just as hard to get warm in the winter.
Parking's great on a friday or saturday night when everyone's out on the town or at the neverending fiesta at the apartment building next door, but other nights are a total drag. Usually the creepy, shadowed spot on the other side of the complex is all that's left after nightfall. This is often caused by the stranded vehicles left to rot (by Lord knows who) in all the good, covered parking. Whoever they are must be real buddy buddy with management because these cars are NEVER towed!
9 a.m. to 6 p.m. was the schedule one day for smoke detecter inspections. Though residents weren't required to be home, I wasn't about to let some moron go waltzing around my apartment without my supervision of my possesions, so I sat all day waiting... and waiting... and waiting. I pray to the Heavens my place doesn't go up in flames because this was last month and still no one has come.
Overall, I'd say this place is a rose with many thorns. It may look pretty, but it's pretty expensive, and it just isn't worth holding on to. k6tKKzmJrmATU2ap682S
