I moved here two years ago April 2005 from North Hollywood to escape the high rents of Los Angeles and the crummy apartments that people in Los Angeles bill as luxury, when in fact they have no idea what luxury is until they come here to Di Renzo.
Most condos do not even have the amenities that this apartment complex has. I am talkiing crown molding, fireplaces on top floor units, beige walls, nice patios, french doors leading to patios, faux wood floors in the entry way, kitchen and bathrooms along with real, not faux, expensive granite marble counters in the kitchen and bathrooms. High end ceiling fans in the living room and master bedroom. High end GE Black Gas Stoves, Black Dual Door Refrigerator with Ice Maker and Cold Water in the Door and high end GE White Washer and Dryers.
The complex is quiet for the most part but can get noisy with some of the tenants and their loud music. The Freeway construction has displaced many rats and as a result rats were living up in the attic above the top floor. A professional exterminator had to be summoned to bait and control the rats. Management has changed as a result of Metric Properties rotatiing Manangers within their properties. The grounds are always kept nice and clean and parking can sometimes be a problem for guests.
I have started to notice during the last two months of my stay here that people were starting to junk up the patios as was evident from the street. In most cases when people moved out of an apartment, the apartments they left behind were trashed. You rarely see any of your neighbors and if your apartment faces the 60 Freeway then you are subject to traffic noise.
I have to say that this is the nicest place I have ever lived in and definately is the nicest apartment complex in all of Riverside. Many of the people that live here don't stay long and it is my understanding that they are in transition while having their house built. As a result you may see some of your neighbors living here for only a few months.
Two years ago my partner and I were excited and happy to move here and to be the first to occupy our unit. Two years later we are no longer. I often felt there was something about this apartment complex that added to the demise of the relationship. Call it energy, karma or whatever.
I do recommend living here if you plan on living here alone or if this is a transition stage before buying a home or condo. Best of luck. You won't find a nicer place than Di Renzo.
