It was a very good experience to live at Rocklin Ranch. We lived there for 7 months. We liked the floorplan, the patio, the swimming pool and spa (quite a resort), the beautiful landscaping, the staff - very friendly and prompt repairs if requested, the monthly (approx) apt complex-activities give you the chance to meet some of your neighbors and even win some prices. There wasn't much noise transfer between the floors. They maintain the place really well and offer some complimentary services too (eg business center).
One tip is to follow up the mail closely, especially packages, you can ask the staff how to do that (we did have some stuff stolen from the mail). The laundry and dishwasher are in the unit, which is nice - best to start them if you don't need to be in the living room for a while because they do produce some noise, but that is the case with most apartment complexes.
The location is also nice for a little walking, close to the highway and shops, that was important for us. We could move in quickly even though they have a good occupancy level. Our deposit on move-out was treated in a correct way. It's a cozy place and we definitely recommend it.
