I am the girlfriend of the guy who wrote a review on 11/14/04. We lived at Silver Oaks for a year and it was pretty bad. The day we moved in, the manager never showed up. We finally tracked her down two hours after she was supposed to meet us. The pool was closed more often than not. When things would go wrong in the apartment (our oven never worked), it would take DAYS for them to even respond to us.

The parking IS a nightmare. People often have to resort to parking on the street alongside the apartment complex. Right before we left, there was a rash of car thefts which included my boyfriend's car getting broken into. Management showed no concern when we reported the incident to them.

Supposedly the new management is better now, but it took us 5 months to get our security deposit back from them (we moved out after the new management took over). We left the apartment in perfect condition, and they kept giving us the runaround when we called about our deposit. I was unimpressed. Hopefully things are better now, but I wouldn't count on it.
