I have lived here for about eight months and am dreading ever moving in. When I moved in and did my move-in inspection I couldn't believe the amounts of damage that was done to this apartment, let alone the fixes that were left untouched!

I've had problems with my toilet running since I've been here. I've called maintenance to fix this problem 3 times and it still isn't fixed! There is a hole in my bathroom door (it looks like someone had punched it at some point in time) and there are a number of cracks down the walls (structural damage)in numerous rooms. The laminent is peeling up or peeled off from almost every cabinet door in my apartment, and when I told management and the maintenance team, they said almost every apartment has that problem and not to worry about it, we won't be charged (we'll see). The laminent in on our kitchen countertops is even peeling up. The base border in our kitchen was "kicked in" from what the maintenance team had told me from someone before us and to top all of this laundry list of things off, we had a leak from our neighbor upstairs over-flowing her tub and the maintenance team came in to drill holes in the ceiling to see if there was any retaining water. . . well, they still haven't came back to fix the five holes in our ceiling.

The community grounds and also very disgusting. I don't think anyone in this place cleans up after they're dogs cause there is feces all over the grass. They never seem to cut they're grass and there are always leaves all over the place. The sprinkler systems seem to always have been broken off, cause there is always a river coming from at least one of them every night when they go off and no one ever fixes them.

All in all, this place is WAY over-priced and needs a HUGE overhaul. Don't move here unless you really don't care what the place looks like.

I would get all of those promises in writing because they charged us for things that they told us we wouldn't be charged for. I wouldnt be surprised if they try to charge you for the holes they drilled in your ceiling.

Maybe you should put your concerns in writing and submit it to the manager, her name is Jodie, and she took over the property in January 2008. You could always call and request maintenance be accompanied by the manager to ensure the work needed is completed. Give it a try, theey have always been great with my needs. I've been at Sunset Summit for almost 5 years

They don't call it "Sunset Slummit" or "The Slummit" for nothing!

I have been disrespected by Nick ever since we moved in. I am glad Jodie took over Nicks job as manager! I hate him. He has no customer service skills whatsoever. The young man is a jerk. He should never have been promoted from the maintenance dept. I remember our walk through. A bathroom cabinet door had been kicked in and re glued together. It was terrible and Nick said that was ok. I said it wasn't ok and needed to be replaced. SO what did he do? He swapped it out with a better looking one from another empty apartment!! I cant wait to move out of here. They need to get rid of Nick ASAP.
