Like many others that have lived here upon taking the tour of the apartments they were very nice inside and out as well as the leasing agent that helped me was soo polite and informative......she was fired a couple months later. I've lived here for a year and a half and have had multiple problems with the office staff trying to screw everyone over. The one's that speak english and can count and RUDE! I had someone park in my covered spot repeatedly and all they told me was that they would make a note of it......F OFF! My pg&e bill the first month i moved in was $700 because my hot water valve had broken (the water was dumping outside of my apartment for a whole month without them noticing) and then proceeded to accuse me of doing it...like i know anything about a hot water heater. They then refused to pay any of the bill saying that it was my fault for using so much of the pg & e. I finally got them to pay for 1/2 (cheap bastards) after i had a lawyer contact them and 2 months of go between with them and pge. They then proceeded to replace my hot water heater randomly 6 months later...stating that it had broken unexpectantly. IDIOTS! I also have black mold in my bathroom which it seems everyone else also has. They do about 6 inspections a year!! (who does that'!'!'!) I was also without heat for almost a month this winter because they apparently switch off the valve when the apartment is vacant and never turned it back on until i kept complaining! Terrible apartment for the price. Super expensive and NOT WORTH IT! The only people that write good comments about this place 1. either work there or 2. are cenile

I've lived here for almost 6 years and I've never encountered your problems. I'm not an employee of Demmon, nor am I "cenile" (sic). I have found the Meridian to be a very pleasant, quiet, and well-maintained complex, and have very much enjoyed living here.
By the way, the biggest cause of black mold is moisture caused by areas that aren't well-ventilated, such as the bathroom. Also, the staff has the right to do inspections as often as they see fit. It's in your lease. Normally, it's once in the summer and once in the late fall - to change filters and check on the overall condition of your apartment. If they feel that more inspections are necessary, it's their right to have them.
Don't know about the other issues that you've brought up - although, when I first moved here, there was another car that kept parking in my assigned spot, and the office gave me the number of the towing company. After leaving a note on the windshield of that car, they moved it and never parked there again, but the office was very willing to help me out with that problem.
As for the price of rent, I think it's worth it - try and find anything less in Stanford Ranch that has the same amenities and security. I really don't think you'd be able to.
Sorry you're having problems, but I really think that you're being a bit unfair to these people.
