I've lived here for almost a year now, and at first I had some problems with the management, but a couple of months ago the property was sold and a new management company took over. Since then things have been a lot better. They recently installed new microwaves in all the units, and although it was a bit of an inconvenience having people in and out for a few days, the microwaves are really nice and they free up a lot of counter space. Unlike the last management company, the new staff seems to care a lot about the residents. They have already held 2 community barbecues, and one morning they even had breakfast ready to give us as we drove out of the complex on our way to work. I leave my house at six to go to work and the manager and maintenance supervisor were out there already handing out muffins and coffee to anyone who wanted it. They have also made a lot of improvements on the property with the landscaping, and from what I hear they are going to be putting gates up as well. There are always a few things that I don't like about the places I've lived, but overall The Winsted has been a really great place and I plan on staying until I'm ready to buy a house. I would definitly recommend living here.
