All in all good, but......

For the most part, this is a nice place to live. It is quiet, no problems with noisy neighbors (in our section, anyway) and the grounds are very well maintained. However, don't take it literally when they say "Gated Community", as it's not a TRUE gated community. The gates to the property are open from 7-6 daily, so anyone can enter the grounds. Most of the time the foot gates are left open after the gates close, so again, anyone can enter. If you want true gated grounds, you'll have to go to Vineyard gate or elsewhere.
Do not expect a walk thru when you move in. We didn't get one, and most of our neighbors say they didn't receive one, either. You're on your own. We haven't moved out yet, so we don't know what to expect when we do leave... we tried to write down all the problems, but I'm sure something will be there that we will be charged for. This was weird, as every other apt. we've rented always requires the manager to do a walk thru with you to check these things, and we certainly expected it here.
Big bonus is the garage. Not many apt's offer "free" garages with rentals. This is a fabulous, priceless commodity that is greatly appreciated.
As of late, they purchased brand new work out equipment for the fitness room, but for you workout junkies, it won't be enough, and a gym membership will be a must. (no free weights, no ab equipment, very limited weight machines, but all good quality, nonetheless)
Parking for our area is a problem at night. One of us gets the garage, the other has to hoof it a little ways. It's not a huge walk, but if you're loaded down it's bothersome. There IS ample parking, just not in the vicinity of our unit.
The few problems we do have on a regular basis are lack of hot water when the heater is on (the heater uses hot water, and if you try to use both, forget a hot shower...) Ants are bad, and they do spray, but within a few weeks they are back. We have had our window screen stolen, and reported it, but nobody has come to replace it after asking twice. So the bedroom window must remain closed unless we are home, and even then it can only be cracked. But other than that weird incident, no vandalized vehicles or problems with safety. The carpet is REALLY cheap stuff. (cosmetic, so really no big issue)
We love the area in general. It's on the outskirts of town, and easy access to the highway on ramp. People are helpful and friendly. You can never expect a perfect rating with an apartment, it's an APARTMENT, but we've been very pleased overall with living here.
