Here is the deal with the crap. This place is not that big, we have 2 maintenance men, and one grounds guy, all full time. Isn't it the job of the grounds guy to keep the grounds clean' I have watched this man for 6 months and he doesn't do much of anything. He certainly does not pick up any poop not with in view of the future rental tour. However, I watch him pick up poop along that area. I pay enough to be able to walk around without smelling crap!! Yes pet owners here suck, not all, but most!! But this man could clean up a great deal of it during his "job". I do agree dogs poop 24/7 here, but the stuff that is here has been decaying in lumps for a long time. The poor yard guys have to smell it and work in it. The kids have to play in it. All I am asking is for the manager to make the grounds man pick up the crap when he does his walk arounds everyday. He can stop to pick up the smallest piece of nothing, I am sure he can pick up the poop also.

OK, so I do agree with much of what you said. I think we can agree that ultimately it is the pet owners responsibility to pick up after thier pooch. With that said, the management should be doing a better job ensure that the common areas are kept clean as well. Ok, I agree. But from your previous posts you were bashing Carmel on many levels, not just the poo. Overall Carmel is a nice place to live if choosing an Apartment Community. The floorplans are nice, maintenance inside your unit is done in a timely manner, the ammenities are nice, etc. So if we could set the dog dung issue a side, would you say that living at Carmel really isn't that bad?

The grounds have actually gotten worse than better over the last month!! The dog crap is in the grass, in the bark, and most recently on the sidewalks!! A good manager would do something if she walked the grounds, which ours does not!!! Like I said before, the grounds guy is full time, he can pick up a great deal of it.
